Quick Gateway of Vietnam: 6-Day Explore North and South Vietnam

Depart to Bai Dinh pagoda and Trang An eco-tourism site. Have a short break en-route to free your legs. Visit Bai Dinh pagoda – Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist complex which consists of several temples and over 500 intricately carved statues of Buddha. Then, you will have lunch in a restaurant with local special dishes.

01:30 PM: We will visit Trang An Grottoes by a boat trip through cave chains. Deep into the linked chains of towering mountains are pristine places of mystical valleys, numerous fresh water ponds, and jungle.

Pick up from the hotel and start a beautiful 3 and half hour scenic drive to Halong Bay. Upon arrival at the harbor, then get ready on a Day cruise followed by a short cruise briefing. Have lunch and cruise through the emerald water passing by the Dog Stone, the Burning Incense islet, stop at Ba Hang fishing village for kayaking or sit in a sampan boat rowed by local Vietnamese. Visit the Fighting-Cock islet and the Heavenly Palace (Thien Cung) cave. Have a tea break while enjoying local finger food and sunset in Halong Bay. Back to the harbor. Disembark and get on the bus back to Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Have breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, we will transfer you to Tran Quoc Pagoda – the oldest of its kind in Hanoi, dating back to the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De Dynasty (544 – 548). Several changes have taken place throughout the year at The Buddhist shrine, particularly its renaming from An Quoc to Tran Quoc (protecting the country) by Emperor Le Huy Tong in the 17th century. Then we will move to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closes on Monday and Friday) and his traditional stilt house. At 12:00 PM, check out the hotel, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Lunchtime with a famous Phở restaurant (Vietnamese noodle soup). Depart around 1.5 hours through the pleasant countryside before arriving at Cu Chi Tunnels – the historic site where Vietnamese soldiers used as a shelter during wartime. This fantastic network stretches over 250 km and is the shelter of Vietnamese soldiers during the wars. Later you will be dropped back to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.
